Yes, all pets require a health certificate.
Your veterinarian must issue a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) within 10 days of travel for domestic shipping, or as required by the destination country for international travel.
The certificate confirms your pet is:
- Healthy and fit for travel
- Free from contagious diseases
- Up-to-date on vaccinations
- Properly identified (microchip or tattoo)
Feeding guidelines:
- 4-6 hours before pickup: Feed a light meal (50% of normal portion)
- 2 hours before pickup: No food, but water is okay
- 30 minutes before pickup: Remove water bowl
This helps prevent motion sickness and ensures your pet is comfortable during initial travel. We'll provide food and water during the journey according to your pet's regular schedule.
Important: Send your pet's regular food with them to avoid digestive upset!
