Important: Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Petrecolation's pet shipping services. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using Petrecolation.com ("Website") and our pet shipping services ("Services"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use our Services.
2. Service Description
Petrecolation provides professional pet transportation services including but not limited to:
- Domestic ground transportation
- Domestic air transportation
- International pet shipping and relocation
- Special care services for pets with medical needs
- Documentation and customs assistance
3. Booking and Payment
3.1 Booking Process
All bookings must be made through our website, phone, or email. A booking is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from Petrecolation.
3.2 Payment Terms
- A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking
- The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the scheduled pickup
- We accept credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal
- All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
- Additional charges may apply for special services or unexpected circumstances
3.3 Price Changes
Prices are subject to change based on fuel costs, route changes, or additional services requested. Any price changes will be communicated to you before confirmation.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Customer Cancellation
- More than 7 days before pickup: Full refund minus $50 processing fee
- 3-7 days before pickup: 50% refund of total amount paid
- Less than 3 days before pickup: No refund
- No-show: No refund
4.2 Petrecolation Cancellation
If we cancel your booking due to circumstances within our control, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
4.3 Force Majeure
In cases of severe weather, natural disasters, airline cancellations, or other events beyond our control, we will work with you to reschedule. Refunds in these situations are at our discretion.
5. Pet Owner Responsibilities
5.1 Health Requirements
You must ensure your pet:
- Is in good health and fit for travel
- Has current vaccinations as required by law
- Has a health certificate issued within 10 days of travel (domestic) or as required by destination (international)
- Is free from contagious diseases
- Has been examined by a veterinarian within 30 days of travel
5.2 Documentation
You are responsible for providing all necessary documentation including:
- Health certificates
- Vaccination records
- Import/export permits (for international travel)
- Microchip documentation
- Any other documents required by destination
5.3 Disclosure
You must disclose any behavioral issues, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or special needs your pet may have. Failure to disclose important information may result in service refusal without refund.
6. Petrecolation's Responsibilities
6.1 Care Standards
We commit to:
- Provide safe, climate-controlled transportation
- Ensure regular rest stops, water, and comfort checks
- Employ trained and certified pet handlers
- Maintain vehicles in excellent condition
- Provide real-time tracking and updates
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations
6.2 Communication
We will provide regular updates during your pet's journey and maintain open communication channels for questions and concerns.
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1 Insurance Coverage
All pets are covered by our basic insurance policy up to $1,000. Additional insurance coverage is available for purchase and highly recommended for valuable or purebred pets.
7.2 Limitation of Liability
Petrecolation's liability is limited to the declared value of your pet or the insurance coverage purchased, whichever is greater. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing medical conditions not disclosed
- Injuries resulting from pet's aggressive behavior
- Delays caused by weather, airline issues, or other circumstances beyond our control
- Consequences of incomplete or incorrect documentation provided by the owner
7.3 Claims Process
Any claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Claims for injury or illness must be supported by veterinary documentation within 48 hours.
8. Prohibited Items and Pets
8.1 We Do Not Transport
- Venomous or dangerous animals without special permits
- Pets under 8 weeks of age
- Pregnant animals in their final trimester
- Pets with contagious diseases
- Aggressive animals without proper disclosure and safety measures
8.2 Prohibited Items
Do not include valuable items, jewelry, or irreplaceable objects with your pet's belongings.
9. Delays and Schedule Changes
While we strive for on-time service, delays may occur due to weather, traffic, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. We are not liable for consequential damages resulting from delays.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your data only for the purpose of providing our services and improving customer experience.
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State where Petrecolation is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Arbitration
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
11.3 Informal Resolution
Before initiating arbitration, we encourage you to contact us to seek an informal resolution.
12. Modifications to Terms
Petrecolation reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, along with our Privacy Policy and any service-specific agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Petrecolation regarding our services.
